Haiti 2012
One of our CCH students who went on the trip to Haiti wrote a blog about her experience. You can read it from her Tumblr.
TNT Podcast // Ephesians 5:22-33 // MARRIAGE MAKES YOU HOLY, NOT JUST HAPPY
Last night, at our Tuesday Nite Thing (TNT), we tackled a tough passage of Scripture to understand.
And for us, it all starts with this one question: what if marriage is designed to make you holy, not just happy?
Exploring Ephesians 5:22-33, we looked at the ways husbands are called to lead their wives in holiness. And then we looked at the ways women are called to submit to their husbands in pursuit of holiness. This was a fun and honest conversation about a potentially hot topic.

A Recap of our Spring Break Trip to Nashville
One of our students, Hannah, has written a great recap of our week in Nashville.
Here’s the link to read it on her blog:
This Week at CCH and Coming Soon!
There are lots of neat things coming up:
Tuesday, March 27 — COMMUNION MEAL AND TNT: At 6pm, we will gather at CCH for our weekly Communion Meal.
Then, at 7pm, our Tuesday Nite Thing (TNT) will begin with a time of unplugged worship. Following that, we will continue our study through the book of Ephesians.
Do you want to be married one day? What should you look for in a potential spouse? How should a husband and wife love each other? And what does marriage teach us about Christ and His gospel?
We will answer all of these questions and more tomorrow night. Bring your Bible.
(And afterwards, we will head to Carson’s Sports Grille for some more food and hanging out. It’s half-priced wings if you are into that sort of thing!)
Wednesday, April 4 — NEELY IN CONCERT: Our good friends NEELY will be in concert next Wednesday at Central Christian Church in St. Joseph. If you caught their acoustic show at CCH last fall, you might want to check them out again…this time, with their full band. We’ll take a few cars down, so be watching for details.
Much more always coming up. Stay tuned for more details!
Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 22 — SPRING RETREAT: It’s time once again for our annual Spring Retreat. We will gather with campus ministries from Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Illinois for a weekend of good teaching, great worship, and one final hurrah before the end of the year.
I realize this retreat occurs the weekend before final exams. No need to write it off. Plan ahead. Study ahead. And there will be some down time for you to crack a book during the retreat if you like.
The cost is $40 and this includes everything.
TNT Podcast // Ephesians 5:1-14 // WALK IN LOVE AND LIGHT
Here is last night’s podcast from our Tuesday Nite Thing (TNT) at the Christian Campus House.
In Ephesians 5, Paul calls followers of Christ to imitate God as dearly beloved children. Then he shows us how. There are three ways we are to walk (live our lives):
- Walk in Love
- Walk in Light
- Walk in Wisdom
This night, we talked about the first two.
A quick note: I had the lights off for most of the message. It was very dark in the room. And then I turned the lights on. It was very blinding, but good for us to “see” the message.

TNT Podcast // Ephesians 4 // THE OLD SELF & THE NEW SELF
This podcast is a few weeks late, but here is a lovely conversation we had about shedding the old self and putting on the new self from Ephesians 4. After 3 chapters of theology, Paul gives us this very practical chapter on how we are to live if we are in Christ.
At the end of this evening, we baptized two students into Christ.
